corino2.9-1.0 Laminated leather plyleather "Ply leather"

We create "plyleather" material by laminating layers of floor leather to imitate plywood. By layering them, materials that cannot be used alone can be transformed into various shapes. From fabrics to furniture, we propose a variety of prototypes that can be used for a long time in a wide range of daily life situations. We aim to develop sustainable products that take advantage of the inherent characteristics of leather.

Animal skin, obtained as a by-product, goes through many processes to become leather, which is used as a product. When making tools from leather, the thickness is adjusted to suit each product. Unnecessary parts of the ``floor leather'' are removed, and in many cases, ``floor leather'' is discarded. We make use of surplus leather materials (floor leather) in a tertiary manner, use natural materials carefully to the last, and recycle them into products that can be used for a long time.

plyleather is made by layering floor leather that is split and discarded in Japan, regenerating it as a new material, and making use of the characteristics of that material to create sustainable products and services.
