Uniqueness of the material itself

"Plyleather", which is a layered layer of leather materials, was inspired by "PLYWOOD". We produce items that can be used for a long time in a wide range of situations in daily life. We aim to develop sustainable products that take advantage of the inherent characteristics of leather.

Leather "plyleather" is created by laminating layers of floor leather to imitate plywood.

Animal skin, obtained as a by-product, goes through many processes to become leather, which is used as a product. When making tools from leather, the thickness is adjusted to suit each product. Unnecessary parts of the ``floor leather'' are removed, and in many cases, ``floor leather'' is discarded. We make use of surplus leather materials (floor leather) in a tertiary manner, use natural materials carefully to the last, and recycle them into products that can be used for a long time.

Plyleather allows you to create shapes and expressions that cannot be achieved with just one piece by layering them, and can be used to create a variety of shapes. From fabrics to furniture, we propose a variety of prototypes that can be used for a long time in a wide range of daily life situations. We aim to develop sustainable products that take advantage of the inherent characteristics of leather.

Layering damaged leather

Due to the effects of global warming, the use of highly damaged leather materials is increasing. There are ways to utilize any material. Items, designs, and time-consuming production.

plyleather is made by layering floor leather and damaged leather that is split and discarded in Japan and regenerating it as a new material, making use of the characteristics of the material and connecting it to sustainable products and things.
